Field of activity

Eurex Exchange, part of Deutsche Boerse Group, is one of the world’s largest regulated markets for derivatives trading. Strategy & Initiatives ensures cohesive strategy development and implementation for Eurex Exchange within the overall Deutsche Börse Group strategic framework. It has the responsibility to initiate strategic execution with stakeholders and business areas, or, for selected initiatives with major business impact, to drive forward implementation. It ensures alignment of initiatives with relevant business areas and other internal and external (e.g. regulators, customers) stakeholders, as well as strict focus on time, quality, budget, and stakeholder satisfaction.



  • Implementation and co-ordination of projects with strategic relevance
  • Project planning including development and maintenance of project and milestone plans
  • Preparation of decision proposals, status reports as well as analysis for senior management and for respective management meetings
  • Monitoring and pro-active continuous improvement of strategy development and implementation processes
  • Delivery tracking against agreed deliverables through close liaison with all relevant stakeholders 
  • Miscellaneous division support in close alignment with manager


Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree in economics, business administration, or equivalent with excellent results
  • At least three years of experience working in project management environment
  • Experience in exchange business and broad knowledge of the financial market of advantage
  • Focus on delivery with results-oriented and structured approach to problem solving
  • Self-motivated with an independent, pro-active and focused approach and high analytical and conceptual skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with high degree of reliability
  • Good organizational skills and ability to handle ad-hoc requests with precise results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with the ability to prepare and communicate complex analysis and visualizations for different target groups
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English, German is a plus
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, highly motivated, flexible and competent with MS office applications complete your profile
