Field of activity

Group Venture Portfolio Management is responsible for the management of the DB1 Venture Fund. DB1 Ventures’ strategy is to be an engaged, long-term strategic partner and provider of capital to early to growth stage companies, which are core or adjacent to DBG’s strategy and generate meaningful financial returns. As a Group Venture Portfolio employee you will support the investment lifecycle for the portfolio companies and their management and will be together with his team in close contact with the decision-makers of Deutsche Börse Group.

 

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Support management of Venture M&A projects and strategic initiatives within Group Venture Portfolio Management
  • Prepare assessment and validation of business models and plans, financial modelling and company valuations
  • Participate in Due-Diligence processes and preparation of transaction documents
  • Preparation of presentations and decision documents for the Group Executive Board and other senior executive management of Deutsche Börse Group
  • Support post-transaction monitoring and supporting of business plan achievement

 

Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree in business with distinction
  • Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of quantitative tools and methods
  • First professional experience or internships in the fields of M&A/corporate finance or venture capital
  • First knowledge in current shareholdings portfolio of DBAG
  • Knowledge of relevance and functioning of capital markets as well as in-depth understanding of business principles and processes
  • High commitment, motivation and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English as well as German, as well as other European languages
