The responsibilities of the Derivatives Clearing Design section at Eurex Clearing AG include designing, implementing, and maintaining clearing functionalities for both listed and Fixed Income OTC derivatives. It further ensures ECAG’s compliance with its global regulatory transaction reporting obligations. In order to align new functionalities with major clearing members and to support market wide trends and initiatives, Derivatives Clearing Design manages regular clearing committees for ETD and OTC Derivatives and contributes actively to several industry-wide working groups. Furthermore, the section is involved in the digital transformation of the organisation currently taking place in the financial industry.
The ETD Clearing Design Unit is a highly collaborative unit, interfacing with multiple internal units, Eurex Exchange and clearing members. It is the responsibility of this unit to constantly improve Eurex ETD clearing offering, in every aspect from regulatory compliance over reliability and resilience to the overall clearing services suite. Additionally, the unit drives or participates in several digitalization initiatives for the unit and beyond in the area of data analysis, automation and AI.
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analysis Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data, analytics and automation processes within the financial services industry, particularly in the context of Exchange-Traded Derivatives clearing. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of data analysis within the digital transformation across Derivatives Clearing Design.
Your responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirement Definition
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Derivatives Clearing Design to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for data-driven solutions and process improvements
• Perform ad hoc and scheduled data analyses to support decision-making in Derivatives Clearing Design
• Develop dashboards and reports to visualize trends, volumes, and operational metrics
Process Automation & Optimization
• Identify automation opportunities in existing derivatives clearing design workflows
• Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement automated processes
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of automated solutions and recommend enhancements
ETD Clearing Service Design Support
• Analyze clearing service related data to support the design and evolution of ETD products and services
• Provide insights into trade lifecycle events, margining, and settlement processes using structured data analysis
• Drive the development of derivatives clearing functionalities and service enhancements
Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as a liaison between business units, IT, and external partners to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables
• Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
• Facilitate workshops and working groups focused on derivatives clearing service improvements and automation strategy
Your profile:
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in data analysis, visualization, automation and reporting tools (e.g., Databricks, Power BI, SQL, Python, Power Automate)
• Ability to quickly understand complex topics and derivatives clearing business contexts, combining clearing domain expertise with analytical skills
• Experience in working in a similar role and in agile environments and managing stakeholder relationships across business and IT
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and regulatory compliance in financial services
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus
• Knowledge of exchange traded products and clearing processes is a plus
• Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
