Field of activity

Energy IT provides an infrastructure for energy and commodity markets offering four applications called “M7®”: M7 Trading (intraday trading of power and gas), M7 Auction (auction of CO2 emission certificates, loss energy auction), M7 Capacity (intraday cross border capacity management) and XBID. XBID is the European cross-border market solution for intraday power trading and capacity management. This initiative is based on a directive of the European Commission and was implemented by four European Power Exchanges and the Transmission System Operators from 11 countries. Deutsche Börse was selected to develop and operate this platform. In this environment you manage product development functions for Deutsche Börse Group energy offering. In details, provide business analysis of internal and external requirements. Prepare business concepts, epics and user stories for our scrum driven development. Interact with our internal and external product stakeholders and work closely with the product owner. Support our research team in new market initiatives and customer projects.

 

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Collection and analysis of business requirements for products and services to ensure a professional and successful transition from identification of a business concept through development and launch
  • Manage requirements process (internal & external) & feature board and create functional solutions
  • Conduct analysis and preparation of new features and requirements prior scrum
  • Analyse and resolve issues reported by customers.
  • Create business concepts, epics and user stories
  • Identify and monitor target clients and their needs
  • Collaborate with account managers on business development support.
  • Develop competitive knowledge and leverage in pre-sales cycle.

 

Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience.
  • Identify and translate business opportunities  – able to think ‘out of the box’ to identify opportunity and solve challenges
  • Confident with strong communication, able to engage senior internal & external stakeholders
  • Effective presentation skills essential – creating and delivery
  • Experience with or knowledge of Energy markets preferable
  • Solid understanding in trading platforms as well as financial and physical trading and clearing principles, products, market mechanisms and structures
  • Ability to meet challenging deadlines and deliver in a fast moving and change oriented environment
  • Experience of writing Epics and user stories is an advantage
  • Very strong proficiency (negotiation level) in written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel depending on project needs
