Senior Java Developer

• Deutsche Börse Group is strengthening its position as a leader in building the marketplace of the future. To support this journey, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our Digitalization Platforms team—an area driving the development of strategic platforms and modern digital solutions across the organization.
• Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and operating core components of digitalization platforms, which support large-scale automation, digital workflows, and AI-driven capabilities. We focus on creating resilient, scalable, and secure backend services that serve as the foundation for the Group’s digital transformation initiatives.
• In this role, you will contribute to the architecture and development of microservices, APIs, and integration layers built primarily using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud native technologies.  You will work within cross-functional agile teams following the Scrum framework and collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and other engineering teams.
• You will help us advance our in house Digitization Platform, which includes orchestration based microservices for OCR, NLP, data extraction, document classification, and a range of automation and AI components. Our mission is to enable efficient, user centric, and compliant digital processes while maintaining the flexibility required in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
• We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive engineer who thrives in complex technical ecosystems, understands enterprise-scale software delivery, and can translate business needs into reliable and maintainable technical solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

• Contribute to and extend system architecture and application design.
• Investigate production issues and support requests to determine root causes and implement effective, long-term solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain new and existing application features.
• Mentor junior developers and align with senior peers on coding standards and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines.
• Engage with business stakeholders and analysts to clarify requirements and propose technical solutions.
• Collaborate to improve CI/CD pipelines and increase automation (desirable but not mandatory).

Your Profile:

• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React, or Angular
• Hands-on experience with backend technology Golang.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
• Experience:  ~5 years
