We are seeking a highly experienced and strategically oriented Vice President Tax, Accounting & Treasury to lead, shape and be fully accountable for key tax, accounting, and treasury matters for one of our U.S. entities, Deutsche Börse Systems Inc. The role encompasses full ownership of complex U.S. tax matters, including federal, state and local taxes, for several entities of the Deutsche Börse Group as well as group taxation aspects, particularly in relation to its U.S. investments, cross-border structures, and key regimes such as BEAT (Base Erosion and Anti-Abuse Tax), CAMT (Corporate Alternative Minimum Tax) and GILTI (Global Intangible Low-Taxed Income). While accounting oversight and treasury management responsibilities will primarily focus on the relevant U.S. legal entity, the position requires close alignment with group-wide financial governance and policies. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior management and executive stakeholders, serve as a central interface to the listed parent company and external stakeholders, and ensure effective coordination of U.S. tax, accounting, and treasury activities within a global organization.
Your responsibilities
- Represent Deutsche Börse Systems Inc. externally together with the President as authorized officer, engaging with U.S. authorities, business partners, and key stakeholders at senior level
- Lead, manage and be accountable for all tax, accounting, and treasury functions for the U.S. entity, ensuring robust governance, internal controls, compliance, and alignment with group policies
- Take ownership of U.S. tax matters (federal, state, local) across multiple entities within Deutsche Börse Group, including audits, controversies, and primary interaction with U.S. tax authorities
- Manage and oversee key U.S. and international tax regimes (e.g. BEAT, CAMT, GILTI, Pillar II) and coordinate group taxation aspects related to U.S. investments and cross-border structures and advice senior stakeholders on implications for the group
- Oversee accounting and financial reporting for Deutsche Börse Systems Inc. under US GAAP and IFRS, including period-end closing, review of financial statements, and coordination of external audits ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Ensure high-quality U.S. tax reporting including consolidated aspects in close collaboration with Group Tax and external advisors, while monitoring regulatory changes and advising on implications
- Oversee treasury activities for the U.S. entity (liquidity, cash planning, funding) and financial risk management in line with group treasury standards
- Drive and support strategic initiatives (e.g. M&A, reorganizations, cross-border projects), collaborate closely with Group Tax, Finance, Legal, HR, and Treasury functions globally, act as key interface to the listed parent company, and actively drive process improvements, standardization and digitalization (e.g. SAP, tax technology solutions such as Vertex or Avalara)
Your profile
- You have completed your university degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA (or equivalent professional qualification) is strongly preferred
- You have already gained extensive experience (10+ years) in tax and accounting within a multinational corporate, including experience overseeing accounting and/or treasury functions at legal entity level
- You bring a strong expertise in U.S. tax (federal, state, local), including BEAT, CAMT, GILTI and consolidated/group tax matters, combined with solid knowledge of international and cross-border tax frameworks (e.g. BEPS, Pillar II)
- You also have profound knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS knowledge is highly desirable
- You bring strong leadership, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to advise and influence senior management decision-making; proven project and external advisor management skills
- You have experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and relevant tax technology solutions (e.g. Vertex, Avalara)
- You are proficient in English; German language skills are advantageous

Salary: 110k - 140k USD
