Market Operator Mid-Office (f/m/d)
Your tasks
Within the European Energy Exchange, the Gas & Registries Operations searches a working student to reinforce their Mid-Office function covering the Regulatory and Compliance tasks for Gas Market Operations, Registries Operations, and Data Analytics.
The tasks contain
- Reinforcing our Business Continuity Management (test run book preparation, test execution, and results documentation) for the team
- Restructuring our SharePoint to bundle the procedures, manuals, checklists and continuity management plans of our critical assets and processes, i.e. regarding our settlement
- Supporting / maintaining the Incident Management SharePoint for the teams above
- Reviewing Regulatory Compliance for Gas Market Operations, i.e. regarding MifidII and DORA
- Creating and updating procedures, checklists, and reporting forms to be in line with all recommendations, our own Business Continuity Plan, and our Risk Management
- Internal Audit or Compliance findings follow up
About You
You like analytic, solution oriented administrative work and want to support us in refining the tasks from an abstract first draft to a polished implementation-ready document and provide this via a smart path within the SharePoint. You feel at ease reaching out to people in your office as well as to colleagues across the EEX Group, preparing, moderating and documenting meetings and test cycles to further strengthen our business resilience? Are you curious to dive into the world of Natural Gas trading and its underlying documentation needs and are eager to help us restructuring our administrative and documentation setup? Welcome aboard.
You will work closely together with the director of Gas & Registries Operations and the Mid-Office operator, as well as the team leaders for Registries Operations and Data Analytics, to further strengthen and optimize compliance with our group wide (Deutsche Börse Group) rules and the EU regulations.
In doing so, you will actively develop and drive forward the innovation footprint of EEX Group as a whole. After all, we value the exchange of ideas, being there for each other and encouraging each other to become better. We call it: the exchange mindset.
You bring along
• Ongoing studies in a Master’s program with a focus on economies, compliance or related field
• Availability to work as a working student for at least 18 hours per week for about 1,5 to 2 years
• Availability to join the office in our EEX headquarters in Paris
• Good knowledge of MS Office products like Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational talent and self-starter-attitude with excellent communication skills
• Capability to work in an intercultural and cross-border team set up
• English is our working language, French also mandatory, German and other language skills are considered a plus
