Your responsabilities:
As part of the Gas and Sustainability Markets Business Development Department, the Lead Business Analyst is responsible for developing and refining both functional and non-functional requirements for the EEX gas trading chain. This role involves direct engagement with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that the collected requirements are consistent and aligned among all parties.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with Product Owners, System Architects, Development, and Quality Assurance teams. You will rely on the support of a broad range of internal functions and need to build an effective network for that. You will lead and coordinate a team of analysts, ensuring sufficient coverage of all areas, uniformity in the approach to analysis and documentation, and effective work distribution.
Integration with upstream and downstream systems is a critical aspect of this role. The Lead Business Analyst will define functional requirements for seamless data exchange and compatibility. Additionally, you will support the QA team in developing and executing functional test plans to ensure all user scenarios and business requirements are met.

You bring along:
- Master’s degree (preferably in IT, engineering, energy-related fields, finance, economics or business)
- At least 10 years of working experience, including deep understanding of the trading system and post-trade integrations.
- Experiences in Project Management, System Engineering, or Quality Assurance would be an asset.
- General interest in energy or commodity trading
- Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills, can-do spirit, and reliability
- High proficiency in English
