Hallo
Leipzig.

Welcome

Working Student (f/m/d) Exchange & Clearing Operations

Have you ever wondered what happens after a trade is concluded on an exchange? How do buyers and sellers receive the energy they have traded, and how are risks managed if one party fails to meet its obligations? As the central counterparty for the EEX Group and several partner exchanges, European Commodity Clearing (ECC) plays a critical role in ensuring the secure and reliable functioning of European energy and commodity markets. Here you can find more information about how Clearing does work at ECC.

As a Working Student (f/m/d) Energy Trading & Clearing, you will become part of our Clearing ETD & Risk Operations team and gain hands-on experience in the operational processes that take place behind exchange trading. During the afternoon hours, you will assist the team in executing daily settlement processes and monitoring customer trading limits, helping to ensure that clearing operations run efficiently and in line with regulatory and operational requirements. Along the way, you will gain valuable insights into risk management, exchange operations, and the mechanisms that safeguard European energy markets. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will learn how a modern clearing house operates while developing a practical understanding of financial and energy markets. From day one, you will take on responsibility, contribute to daily operations, and become an active member of a collaborative team. The afternoon focus of this role makes it particularly well suited to combine with your studies. Working hours amount to up to 20 hours per week. In return, you will join a team that values knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous development. We call it our Exchange Mindset.
