Working student (f/m/d) IT operations within DevOps setup
Today, almost every company relies on stable running IT applications and the availability of their products and services. This applies even more, when it comes to applications used for energy supply, operating energy markets and clearing of financial transactions in an exchange. The responsibility of our IT Operations team, is to ensure these stable operation of our high available 24/7 clearing applications and therefore we secure the availability of energy trading and clearing not only in Germany, but globally.
Your tasks:
Our IT operations team is running specific and highly customized applications on technical “state of the art” environments - in a DevOps setup. In your role of a working student in our team, you will learn a lot about ITIL process (incident, problem and change management), have the chance to practice you knowledge as you will take over different operational tasks, and to do so you will learn how to work with a ticketing system. Furthermore, you will be part of our team effort to develop our applications further (change tasks). Our team goal is to contribute to the stable operations of our applications/tools and services. Another aspect our team work is to make sure we are working fully compliant in regard to your fixed written rules within the regulatory IT framework. Therefore, we will count on you to understand and update our process description and make sure that changes are documented. After all, we value the exchange of ideas, being there for each other and encouraging each other to become better. We call it: the exchange mindset.
You bring along:
- Ongoing studies in IT (Bachelor or Masters)
- Interest in understanding the operational tasks and ITIL processes in a complex IT landscape
- Interest in working with and in DevOps methodology
- Availability as working student for at least one year (due to onboarding and training on the job)
- Willingness to work 20 hours per week, including 2 days of working in the office together with your colleagues
- Very good language skills in English and good language skills in German
