Cloud Engineer (f/m/d)

Your Tasks:
As a member of our IT Engineering-team you support Google Cloud Platform (GCP) projects during all stages of development - including requirements analysis, conception, design, implementation, testing as well as go-live. You are responsible for the realization of flexible cloud architectures that enable complex data management and cloud transformation in agile teams. You will develop software in compliance with clean code, suitable refactoring measures and continuous improvement of the build- and test infrastructure. The development of best practices for testability, maintainability and scalability to support an open team culture is our main target.

You bring along:

  • Successfully completed studies or well-founded education/further training in the or related field of Information Technology
  • Several years of experience in one of the following programming languages: Python (preferred), Java, C#, Kotlin, Go plus experience as a software developer on the Google Cloud Platform
  • Extensive experience with the implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions (especially IaaS & PaaS with IAM Cloud, App Engine, Kubernetes, Linux, Terraform or Ansible)
  • Profound knowledge in the field of containerization (e.g. Kubernetes, Openshift, Cloud Run) and experience with implementing microservices and security concepts in cloud-based applications
  • Practical knowledge in interface development with Apigee or streaming solutions such as Kafka, Google Cloud Pub/Sub and event driven design in general
  • Practical knowledge of and experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment (e.g. git, Dataflow, Airflow, etc.), and using cloud deployment models at an enterprise level 
  • Sound knowledge of the ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana for monitoring and visualizing dashboards
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - to interact with all project stakeholders, including management board
  • At best, working experience in a bank and/or in a commodity environment
  • Very good language skills in German and English (written and spoken)
