Within our team “Data Technologies” we are responsible for all duties in the area of Software Engineering of EEX / ECC applications. Specifically, this means that we take care of the Business Data Warehouse, the Reporting Tool, the Enterprise Service Bus and the Commodity Data Platform. In your function as Expert Software Architect (f/m/d) you plan and drive the development of data engineering solutions ensuring that solutions balance functional and non-functional requirements. 

Your tasks in detail: 

• Taking over the responsibility for the technical solution design being in line with the architecture and security requirements
• Maximizing the capabilities of applications for their role as well as evaluating and supporting the use of new technologies and digital tools 
• Supporting our business departments in the creation of requirements and translating these into software designs to evolve the value added to our business 
• Ensuring the compliance to internal and external standards, regulations, procedures and best practices 

• Designing specific data-based solutions for different parts of the organization by the use of state-of-the-art technologies and security tools 
• Developing design criteria for the ECC Data Domain  
• Translation of business requirements into a solution approach (e.g., interface adjustments ADAL, new data processing chain/ pipeline to connect additional applications/ customers)
• Aligning solution approach with the development teams
• Supporting the creation and perform reviews of technical implementation specifications (Including: Perform Risk Assessments (regular, Ad-hoc), create High-Level-Design for Releases, Support the creation of the Business Impact Analysis, Architecture Matrix, Network Plan, Authorization Concept, (Asset) Security Documentation)
• Transforming our Data Landscape – that means moving from a traditional Business Data Warehouse approach to a Federated Data Mesh where we will share data with all parts of Deutsche Boerse Group 
• Fluent communication in regards of presenting complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences when engaging with colleagues, users/ customers, suppliers and partners

You bring along: 

• You either have successfully completed a degree in Information Technology/ -Engineering at a university or university of applied sciences or a comparable qualification. 
• You bring along software engineering expertise in an agile/scrum-based environment, supported by several years of professional and/ or project experience in this area of work. 
• You possess routine and familiarity in Requirements Engineering as well as experience in Cloud Based Data Technologies solutions - preferably based on GCP. 
• Security, privacy and ethics - you fully understand the importance and application to your own work and the operation of the organization. You engage or work with specialists as necessary. 
• Experience in Java, Python and the GCP ecosystem is important. 
• You have already gained experience working in a banking and/or commodity environment. 
• You can clearly demonstrate impactful communication skills in Business English (oral, written and presentation) in both formal and informal settings. Knowledge of German language on intermediate level would be advantageous.
