Your tasks:
We are looking for a Data Steward (f/m/d) to join and support our data technology team. You will act as a contact person (f/m/d) for data users and data managers as well as for process owners. In your role you will drive forward the definition of data models using suitable tools (e.g. dataplex), taking into account overarching data governance rules and business requirements. You support the introduction or continuous development of effective master data management. In coordination with relevant stakeholders (business, project team, application managers and central data framework team), you will accompany product data integration and support the qualification and validation of EEX/ECC processes and applications within digital transformation projects and initiatives.
Further tasks for you would be:

• Collecting, maintaining and managing master data in existing IT systems and supporting data controllers in their work in this context
• Measuring the quality of master data in globally networked information systems with suitable tools and methods, identifying inconsistencies and support in cleaning them up
• The analysis of data in third-party systems and their transfer to the master data life cycle
• Ensuring the required data quality in IT projects
• Visualizing data connections between integrated systems, applications, and business processes and creating meaningful system and process maps
• Familiarisation with the areas of identifying critical data elements, increasing (meta-)data quality and ensuring compliance with data integrity guidelines through data profiling and data cleansing

We work in an agile and growing team and coordinate in dailies, refinements and sprint reviews. You decide whether you work remotely from home (Germany) or in our office in Leipzig.

Your skills:

• You have successfully completed a degree with a focus on computer science, data analytics or business administration or have few years of experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility
• You bring along first experience and practical knowledge within the area of design, maintenance and management of master and reference data as well as basis knowledge of applications for data management, quality and profiling
• Knowledge and experience in product lifecycle management and/or in the financial industry is an advantage
• You have an optimistic attitude as well as an independent and structured way of working and good analytical skills
• You will maintain an overview even in stressful situations and find pragmatic solutions
• You are fluent in Business English
