Network Security Engineer - Firewall admin (f/m/d)

Your area of work:

Connectivity Control and Internet has the responsibility of the setup and operation of Networks Security devices (Firewalls, IPS, IDS, WAF, Web proxy) and other network services (DNS, DHCP, Email) for the Deutsche Börse Group. We operate out of Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Prague and Chicago.

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer – Firewall admin for our team with experience in administrating CISCO & Check Point firewalls.

Your responsibilities:

• Primary duty would be to deploy, manage and maintain network firewalls CISCO & Check Point
• Assist with the administration of the other managed devices: DDoS solution, IDS/IPS, Blue Coat Web Proxies, F5 BIG-IP (LTM & WAF/ASM)
• Onboard IT assets to security tools and performing regular configuration audits.
• Review / update of hardening baselines for security configuration checks
• Ensure compliance by strictly adhering to defined processes and procedures, support internal and external audit activities.
• Ensure operational stability of the field of responsibility.
• Perform knowledge transfers to the remaining team members regarding security and system configuration awareness.
• Support troubleshooting activities.
• Participate to 24/7 on-call rotation and provide support activities outside of critical business hours, including weekend changes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your profile:

• IT education or relevant and proven experience in network security
• 2+ years of work experience in IT networking security
• Knowledge of network security devices – especially Check Point and CISCO ASA/FTD – certifications would be a plus
• Experience working with networking and computing hardware as well as connectivity
• Automation & Scripting knowledge desirable
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms – particularly GCP would a plus
• Strong team player, ability to communicate with providers, operators, vendors and customers
• High level of integrity and discretion
• Highly organized and meticulous, highly committed to quality. High self-responsibility and ownership
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
