Your area of work

In your new position as Intern (f/m/d) in the Cash Market Area, you will join and support the Strategy team in further developing the cash market business within the overall strategic framework of Deutsche Börse Group. We offer you the chance to acquire valuable experience while working within our interdisciplinary team, complementing the theory of your academic studies with practical knowledge. We will actively involve you in our processes, and offer you diverse, interesting and above all challenging tasks.

 

Your responsibilites:

  • As part of the team, you will support the development of Deutsche Börse Group's long-term organic and inorganic growth strategy in the Cash Market business. This includes the development of new business areas
  • You will support the team in M&A related processes within the Cash Market business of Deutsche Börse Group
  • You will conduct market and competitor research and support us in analysing growth options in the context of global regulatory, political and market dynamics
  • You will assist the development of decision documents and presentations for the executive management
  • Furthermore, you will support the team in developing a framework for pro-active and continuous strategy development, execution, and monitoring

 
Your profile:

  • You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student (at least 4 semesters), or hold a Bachelor's/Master's degree that is not older than 6 months, in the field of economics, business studies or similar
  • You have already gained practical experience in the context of strategy consulting, research, or corporate strategy/M&A
  • You have a decent understanding regarding the relevance and functioning of capital markets, business principles and processes
  • As a motivated, fast learning and open-minded person you like to dive into new topics quickly
  • You can break down complex problems, solve them based on a well-structured approach and communicate them in a way that is easy to understand
  • You have excellent knowledge on standard MS Office applications (especially PowerPoint and Excel) and can fluently communicate in written and spoken English. Knowledge of German is an additional asset
